My first Valentine's Day with a Valentine

It's true. I'm in my early thirties, and I've never, to my recollection, had a Valentine on Valentine's. Frankly, it is a bit of a silly holiday and one that I don't feel compelled to abide by.

That being said, when I got home on Tuesday and he was there with takeout (he knows how I hate a crowd), roses (they remind me of my grandma), and dessert (my favorite cookies ever), I didn't complain. (I made him a book about how we fell in love.) Then we watched one of my favorite movies, Away We Go. We tried to watch it while we were dating, but he was too focused on seducing me for us to get to the end. Now that we're all hitched and stuff, that wasn't such a problem. (He's going to roll his eyes when he reads this.)

My Valentine's also comprised of car repairs and a dentist chair, but The Mister part is much better.
