Last night, we helped S put together a diorama for her project on kangaroo rats. Do you remember the days of dioramas?!? Me either. Mind blown. (Our yarn-ball kangaroo rat looked a little sad, but The Mister did an excellent job of making the bottom all sandy. We even had a little plastic snake.) S was hoping for a snow day today because she was nervous about her presentation. Adorable girl. (Digression: Her best friend necklace is a pickle with the word best on it. A pickle! How cute is that?)

I'm liking our dog more. You can tell because I'm using the word "our" instead of "your". Before I would say, "Your dog needs to go out," or "I'm going to kill your dog," because I'm mature like that. But now, she seems to finally be getting the hang of potty training, which has made me relax considerably. And while she's still a puppy, she's pretty obedient and pretty adorable. Behold (it's a too-dark pic. Sorry):

I am craving a trip so badly. I want to go somewhere new and relax by a beach, if possible. It will probably not happen this year, but it will happen. Oh yes, it will happen.

When we first started sharing the same bed, it was awful. I missed having the bed to myself and I would spend whole nights where I couldn't sleep and I just wanted him to give me some space! (The Mister is a cuddler to. be. sure.) And now, I love being intertwined with him all night long. And I love that I reach over to make sure he's still there. And I love that I miss him when he gets up early.

I bought a new cookbook. Now I just need to actually use it rather than letting it sit on my shelf. I have a growing thing for cookbooks, but I suppose I should actually use them instead of just buying them.
